Description

This pin, or "jewel," as it is known within Rebekah assemblies, was presented to a former Noble Grand (president of a Rebekah lodge). The pin was manufactured by the L.G. Balfour company.

The Rebekahs are a branch of the Independent order of Odd Fellows who are dedicated to community service. The dove and olive branch represented on the brooch are ancient symbols of peace. The etching on the brooch is so detailed that the dove has feathers and texture. There is intricate scrollwork on the border of the brooch.

The pin is approximately 1.5" long and 1" wide. It is solid 10k gold and the dove is silver. It weighs 5.4 grams.
