Description

Set of ceramic whiskey cups ideal for use as rocks cups, sake cups, tea cups, or shot glasses. They can also be used as votive candle holders, toothpick holders or cotton swab holders.

These rustic cups are 3 1/2 inches tall and hold 1/2 cup (4oz).

I made these ceramic whiskey cups on the potter's wheel using brown stoneware clay. I formed the undulating pattern at the top of each item while the clay was still very wet. After the first firing, I highlighted the undulating pattern by brushing red iron oxide all along the bottom part of the cups. I then dipped each cup in a yellow glaze and fired them a second time in an electric kiln in my Virginia studio.

Made in Virginia, USA.

Thank you very much for this beautiful yarn bowl! It arrived very fast and was carefully padded with lots of bubble wrap. It is so pretty - I love the leaf cutout pattern!

I was very surprised to find the extra matching little square tray in the box - THANKS!!! It’s so pretty and currently in use to hold my small stitch markers when they are removed from my knitting. It’s also the perfect size to hold a tea bag!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! This custom created garlic jar adds "counter appeal" to my kitchen...keeping my garlic fresh. I love the floral cutouts and vintage doily design that match my other Glynt Pottery pieces.

Great transaction. Baker was shipped quickly. Immediate response from the seller. Best of all, the baker is well designed and the glaze and detail are mostly attractive.

FAQs

I will gladly make a custom order for you. Custom orders usually take 3 to 4 weeks. Depending on the time of year and where I am in the production cycle, orders may take up to 6 to 8 weeks. Personalized items that are not generic (e.g., Dad, Mama) require a 50 percent deposit. Payment for other custom orders is due at purchase.
If properly cared for stoneware can be enjoyed for a long time. Never place a dish on top of a burner or in a preheated (hot) oven. Instead, place room temperature dishes in a cold oven and gradually bring the heat up to the desired temperature. Dishes should be filled so food contacts all interior surfaces.

Teapots should be warmed with hot water before filling them with boiling water. The same is true for colanders: never pour boiling water directly into them.

Stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. However, please use care. Some items, such as berry bowls, might best be hand washed.
Because of the fragile nature of ceramics, I pack the items in several layers of bubble wrap before placing them in a box surrounded by biodegradable peanuts. In some cases, it is best to ship multiple items is separate boxes to prevent breakage.

I do not offer gift wrapping, but I can include a message to the gift recipient. The message will be printed in a script font in an appropriate blank card or the back of a Glynt Pottery postcard. Please let me know (in the message from buyer) if you are interested including a message with your gift.
