Featuring animals, landscapes, and other scenes from nature, this unique sixteen-month wall calendar expresses quiet wonder and delight in the world. Give this one-of-a-kind calendar to friends or family members to provide a steady stream of beauty and insight all through the year. From happy frogs to turning leaves, this mini-calendar provides a monthly dose of Zen humor and wisdom.

Most of the Japanese-inspired art in this calendar includes my original haiku. I painted each of these pieces with sumi ink and Japanese watercolors on paper. The originals were stamped in red with my personal seal. You can see more pieces like these on my website: www.makinostudios.com.

The photos show the calendar front and back and three of the twelve designs. You can also see me at work with my sumi ink stick and bamboo brushes.

This mini-calendar measures 5-1/2” wide by 8” tall closed (or 5-1/2 x 16" open), so it will easily fit in a narrow space. Major US holidays are listed. You can see all twelve designs, plus a short artist’s bio, on the back of the calendar. The calendar includes the month grids for September-December 2016.

These are professionally printed in the USA on substantial paper and saddle-stitched. Each calendar is packaged in a self-sealing cellophane bag.

Many users of my past calendars tell me they save and hang up each month’s painting after it has passed or give the image to a friend. The new calendar makes a great gift that may continue to bring pleasure well past 2017.
