This is a digital pdf sewing pattern for a half-scale stuffed dress form / mannequin.

Pattern making or fashion design students can use this miniature dress form for flat pattern making or draping practice. You also can use one of these adorable dress forms to display necklaces or decorate your sewing room.

The dress form is sewn from interfaced fabric, then stuffed, so it is soft and you can pin into it.

The dress form must be mounted on a stand of some sort. You can make a cardboard dress form stand using the included pattern, mount the dress form on a vase, or make a stand of your own design.

The instructions are very detailed and include photographs of each step.

The free dress patterns I designed will fit this dress form (https://growyourownclothes.com/free-half-scale-patterns). The half-scale sloper/block patterns I'm selling also fit this dress form (https://www.etsy.com/listing/215286335/pdf-half-scale-sloper-pattern-set).

This stuffed dress form is about the same size and shape as the paper/paper mache half-scale dress form I also sell a pattern for (https://www.etsy.com/listing/205590662/pdf-make-a-half-scale-dress-form-with).

I also have a similar stuffed dress form pattern, the Mini Stuffed Dress Form Pattern (https://www.etsy.com/listing/243168318/pdf-mini-stuffed-dress-form-pattern). Here are the main differences between the two stuffed patterns:

* This pattern only comes in one half-scale size. The Mini Stuffed Dress form pattern comes in half-scale, one-third scale, and quarter scale.
* The half-scale sloper/block patterns fit this pattern better, since the shape of this dress form is very similar to the shape of the Paper Half-scale dress form for which the sloper/block patterns were originally designed.
* The construction of this dress form is simpler. There is no internal support piece to keep the shape of the profile, and the dowel or vase is simply held in place by stuffing and a roll of fabric around the dowel. The Mini Stuffed Forms have a built in tube to hold the dowel in place. This dress form is drawn closed at the bottom with a drawstring, while the Mini Stuffed forms have a cardboard reinforced base.
* The shapes are a little different. This dress form has less bust definition and the body is thicker front to back due to the lack of profile support. Compare the pattern listing photographs to see the differences in shape.

Approximate Finished Measurements:

Waist: 13 5/8" (34.5 cm)

Very easy to make. Turned exactly as expected. I used a heavy, tall ice cream sundae placed upside down for the base instead of the dowel.

Instructions were very clear. Not the simplest thing to sew, but it's worth to put the effort of following instructions so everything lines up ad looks nice. Also, I recommend more scraps of fabric than stuffing for the curves and to not overfill. I used thick felt to fill in the neck, it holds up pretty good. Very satisfied with purchase, will do again

This pattern is perfect! Well laid out with excellent directions and the pattern/PDF is super easy and professional. LOVE MY NEW 1/2 dress form. I put mine on an old lamp stand which was ideal for the form. Thank you so very much!!!
