Vintage ikebana watermill, wooden model Japanese mingei folkcraft, metal pans for flower arranging, handmade rustic home and patio art piece

#4751 Antique Japanese wooden model watermill and hut, with metal pans for ikebana (flower arranging), 22"w x 16"h x 17"d.

Water reservoir with good metal liner. Wheel mechanism lifts and drops pounder on mini usu (wood mortar for pounding rice for mochi), producing a solid strike every two seconds. (Sound can be muted or silenced.)

Does splash a little when in use. Old aquarium pump works, but not guaranteed. Roof must be put on a little offset so doesn't hit wheel. C.1950

A very interesting old vintage mingei folk craft item, great for home decor, and for the patio!
