Make these gloves yourself classic knit mittens knitting pattern. This pattern can be knit in the round in two different ways. Instructions are included for double point needles and the magic loop. Pick your favorite method to knit in the round, then follow the instructions that match your chosen needles. This is a knitting pattern for intermediate to experienced knitters (requires knitting in the round with double point needles, slipping stitches, increases, and decreases). This basic solid color mitt pattern makes a great introduction to mitten and glove knitting.
I used Caron Simply Soft for the design, but you can substitute any worsted weight yarn in this pattern. Malabrigo Rios is a great yarn to use in this pattern, if you prefer wool. Or use the worsted weight in your yarn stash. For this pattern, I recommend using a yarn made of acrylic, wool, or a combination of the two. Make sure you check your gauge when substituting yarn. Try this pattern with variegated yarn colors (for example, Simply Soft Paints) to spice things up.
