This is a hefty pre World War II jadeite salt shaker. Uranium in the glass causes it to glow brightly under a black light.

A complete set would include a salt, pepper, sugar, and flour shaker, and would sit on the kitchen stove.

This sugar shaker is in like-new condition with no chips or cracks or flea bites. The dark dots around the neck are from the metal lid. The surface is smooth and whole, but the metal marks will not come off with my cleaning methods.

The original lid is dented on one side. The lettering is pristine.

It stands 5" tall with the lid on, and is 2.25" wide.

A great find for any vintage kitchen or collector!
