The design of the paról evokes the Star of Bethlehem that guided the Three Kings to the manger. It also symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the Filipinos' hope and goodwill during the Christmas season.

Gorgeous and wonderfully crafted with love! Seller was able to custom make my parol, communicated with me during the process, and sent me pictures after she was done to see if the parol was what I wanted. Parol was nicely packaged with care and arrived quickly. Happy to share this traditional parol with my family. :) Thank you so much!

Years ago, my mom had parols for the home -- but over time -- they fell apart. Unless you want to make it on your own, it's pretty much impossible to find these online or even in retail stores that sell filipino items -- they only have the "pricey" ones made out of shells. Though those are nice, they aren't *traditional* and what I grew up with.

These are great! I ordered a set of 5 -- 3 for my own house windows and one each for my folks and my sister. They're beautiful with the little light in the middle. They're not so "big" like the old fashioned "puffy ones" made out of balsa wood (and thus, less prone to tear and fall apart).

My mom LOVED it when I gave it to her, she's already planning where to hang it with the Christmas decorations and so am I!

Absolutely gorgeous! It's difficult to find the traditional paper parols ANYWHERE anymore -- I was thrilled to find this shop/creator on ETSY. They're perfect, and I plan to give them as small "Thinking of you" Christmas gifts to family members this year as we don't do large gift exchanges!
