Item details

This large handmade pho noodle bowl is both a work of art as well as a durable and functional piece of everyday pottery that you can use for your pho soup or rice and noodle meals. It features a pretty dark bluish black glaze that I call Moody Blue and comes with a set of beautifully hand crafted chopsticks.

I created this pho bowl on my pottery wheel out of stoneware clay, cutting in the two chopstick holes and the semi-circular resting area across from the holes while the clay was soft. It's extra large to hold lots of pho noodles and broth.

These bowls are around 5" high x 7" across and will hold around 42 ounces of broth, maybe more. If you would like a matching spoon for the broth in your soup, you can add one using the drop down menu. These are handmade as well and inclde a little hook at the handle end so they can hang on the edge of the bowl and not slip down into your pho soup.

I signed it on the bottom rim. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Use the drop down menu to choose the number of bowls you want and whether you want to include a spoon with your set. (A pair of chopsticks is included in the price.) Because these are made by hand on my pottery wheel (not by machine or from a mold) each one varies slightly in size by maybe 1/4 inch or so. So if you order more than one, know that they won't be precisely the same.

If this is a gift and you would like me to include a card with a message from you in the package, please leave the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.

This seller usually responds within a few hours.

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.
Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.
I use a very durable stoneware clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.
It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.
I do sell my work wholesale to gift shops and galleries. Please contact me for minimum order and pricing information. My phone is: 970-846-9349 and my email is deb@blueskypottery.com

I also have a watercolor shop here on etsy and would love to be represented by a gallery for that work. You can see it at: BlueSkyFineArt.etsy.com
