Description

7 inch 18 cm Green Turquoise Sterling Silver Fred Harvey Era Cuff Bracelet

This listing is for an unsigned Harvey Era silver cuff bracelet with stamped Fred Harvey Native American symbols and a center green turquoise stone in a plain bezel on a stamped silver setting. The central setting is flanked with two repousse corrugated buttons. This bracelet shows the signs of a handmade artisan piece. The thin split shaft is typical of this style of bracelet. This cuff has a shaft that shows signs of it being hand formed and not machine stamped. The designs stamped on the shaft are symbols as advertised by the Fred Harvey Company. The lack of uniform placement of the stamps indicate that the designs have been hand stamped on this bracelet. This bracelet is of the style created during the Late Fred Harvey Era (1935 - 1960s). During this era, native american style souvenir jewelry was sold in the tourist trade from gift shops located on Route 66 and the Santa Fe Railroad line using the Fred Harvey House network of rail stops in the Southwest. This is a slim, open cuff with a good amount of flexibility so it can be adjusted for a custom fit. It fits well on my 7 inch 18 cm wrist as seen in the photos. The bracelet is not marked to identify the maker or metal content. Although I have not been able to locate any markings indicating the metal content or maker's identification, the bracelet acid tested positive for silver.

Condition: I haven't noticed any issues in this bracelet. The stampings are in excellent condition. The surface of the bracelet polishes to a beautiful shine while the light oxidation in the recessed areas brings out the decorative stampings. I consider the workmanship and materials to be average for this type bracelet. I consider this bracelet to be in excellent vintage condition.

FAQs

All orders are shipped with insurance and tracking where possible. All orders are packaged carefully to best assure it is delivered in good condition. I package all orders in cotton or polyester filled gift boxes suitable for gift presentation. All orders include a receipt. If the item is shipped as a gift, please leave a note so I can include a gift receipt identifying the buyer but omitting all pricing information. If you wish to have a card or note included at no additional cost, leave instructions in a note with your order.
I am located in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada and therefore collect Nevada Sales Tax on all orders shipped to addresses within the State of Nevada. In 2018, new sales tax legislation became effective requiring the collection of sales tax for all orders shipped to the States of Washington and Pennsylvania.
I happily ship to all countries where shipping is available. I ship via USPS. Importation of some items are not allowed by some countries. Please check import restrictions of your country prior to purchasing. I cannot anticipate the time it will take an order to clear customs so I am unable to provide delivery estimates for international shipments. Import fees and VAT are charges levied by countries to support their local industries so they are the responsibility of the buyer and cannot be added to my shipping charges. It is common practice for orders subject to import fees to have additional service charges assessed for the collection of fees. I will only include true information on customs forms and will not mark as gift.
If your order is damaged during shipment, inform me immediately by Etsy Conversation upon receipt. Retain the item and all packaging materials. The insurance investigation may require photos of the item and packaging and an affidavit from the buyer.
