Brinstar - where it all began. It's hard to believe that even with such limited hardware, a game could be created with so much immersion and depth. The music still haunts me and perfectly complements the atmosphere of the game.
Metroid was such a brutally challenging and unforgiving game that I can't believe I beat it as a kid. I tried again 30 years later and it kicked my ass. But I'll never forget the first time I beat it - and fell in love with the pixellated reveal of the first female protagonist.

My favorite Nintendo game of all time brought to life on my wall by VideoGameShadowBox, and I absolutely love it. The 3D effect is really awesome to look at! Will not be my last purchase from this shop. Want to fill up my wall with more. Shipping was extremely quick and the frame was packed so well it wouldn't get damaged even if the mail carrier played soccer with it. Thanks again. 5 stars..

Arrived super fast and looks so so great. I looked really close to see if I could spot any imperfections or mistakes (shadowboxes make you want to look at them up close!) but all the cutouts are really precise. And the box construction itself is pretty study, and even came with two protective rubber bumpers on the back to make sure it rests level when hung on a wall. Overall I was very impressed. I'll probably get another one at some point.
