The candles I offer that fit these are not a common size candle sold in the US - if you are not buying these or making your own, the candles you get will need extra attention to work with these brass inserts. **Most candles that are sold as "Waldorf birthday ring candles" are approx. 1/2 inch in dimeter and will not stand up in these inserts without help. Taper candles are often too wide and too tall for these**

There are many brands of candle holders and candles, mixing brands will most likely require extra effort to make them work together...
If the candles you have are too small for these, you can melt down the base of the candle (while still soft) hold the candle in brass insert until the wax re-hardens to help it stand up or use a sticky putty or candle adhesive type product - there are many non permanent options. If your candle is too wide, you will need to shave it down (please keep in mind that candles that are too wide/tall might cause the brass insert to need help staying put). If the candle is causing the brass insert to tip out then you will need to use a sticky putty to hold the brass insert in (tall/taper candles might still be too heavy for this option).
Wood and metal can shrink and expand with temperature changes so fits can change with seasons.

Made in Germany. Brass plated. These are offered as a supply for your convenience and safety. Metal inserts are recommended when using wooden candle holders to prevent fire. Never leave candles unattended.
