Little House on the Prairie fans will appreciate these lesser known writings by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

"West From Home" is a collection of letters (and photos) from Ingalls Wilder to her husband Almanzo Wilder. She wrote most of them in 1915, while visiting her daughter Rose Wilder Lane in San Francisco.

Her stay coincided with the Panama-Pacific International Exposition and the letters are full of descriptions of "the country she saw, the people she met, and most of all the beauty of San Francisco and the International Exposition."
