Item details

This small wood pill box is based on a slide open lip balm container. The box is lined with a steel sliding canister (made in the USA) for a nice tight seal with a slight indent to keep it closed and secure . It makes a perfect pill box, ring box, small jewelry box, stash box, or even a lip balm box. It is easily opened by sliding the two halves apart and the fit is just right, not too tight and not too loose. It is good for hiding your most valuable treasure yet small enough to fit easily in your pocket. For durability, smoothness, and aesthetics, the finish is 3 coats of acrylic lacquer. My signature is engraved in the bottom.

It would make a great corporate gift or wedding party gift. Please inquire for quantity pricing, custom logo, and lead time.

Comes with a velvet pouch.

Dimensions: 2.3" by 1.375" by .625" thick
Internal: 1.86” by .9" by .39”deep

The finish I use is a CAB acrylic lacquer from Sherwin Williams with the vinyl sealer base coat. I often use paste wax with steel wool to make the piece feel better to the touch and to bring out the sheen.
Very little care if any is necessary aside from removing dust occasionally. You can use an air canister if you like. You may also use any wax type polish to bring out the sheen. If alcohol or a chemical gets on the piece, wipe off immediately. Letting a chemical sit will ruin the finish.
The leather lining I use is a synthetic suede called Ultrasuede. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Custom orders are accepted based on wood type only, unless a large quantity is desired. My boxes are all made in batches and are not conducive to size changes. I can do monograms as seen in this listing:
