** This listing is for a Crochet Pattern only NOT a finished item. It is a listing for a downloadable pdf file with the instructions on how to crochet an octopus for yourself ** This pattern is only available in the English and French language.
Claude the Octopus lives in a large cave under the sea, where he tends his award winning sea garden. On weekends he hunts high and low for new star fish to add to his collection. He's sure he'd have the biggest collection around, if his samples didn't keep wandering off.
Claude is rather large, his head measures about 9 inches / 23 cm in height and he spans 45 inches/ 115 cm across, from tentacle tip to tip using an Aran weight yarn. However, he can be made from any weight yarn and appropriate hook for different sizes. This is not a pattern for beginners, but it is an easy pattern to follow with plenty of photos, and if you run in to any problems you will always be welcome to contact me for any extra help.
This pattern is available in US and UK Terminology and you will receive a download link to both files.

Hardest thing I’ve ever done in crochet and worth every minute! The look on my nephew’s face when he realized I’d made every stitch just for him was the best reward in the world. Feel like I upped my crochet game and learned a lot of new skills with this pattern.
Beautiful pattern! I love my finished product! Easy to follow instructions! Really enjoyed making this piece!
I haven't quite finished making this yet, but I wanted to write a review before I wasn't allowed to. So far this pattern is extremely well written! When I was first asked by a friend to make this for them, I was afraid it would be the most daunting task EVER and almost declined. So far this pattern is amazing and it is coming together very well. I love the suggestions for placing stitch markers to make the attachment of flaps easier down the line, and the position of stitches is very clear - I can tell easily if I have misplaced a stitch or something without ending up frogging a row of 1,000+ stitches. I would buy a pattern from this author again for sure.
LOVE this pattern! I've received numerous compliments on the finished product. It was an easy pattern to follow, and I will be making another one!
