Last week on Etsy before it moves to my other venue...Vintage 1940s Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt...fabulous prints. They remind me of summer, the red and white checks, pink roses, sky blues, and soft jadite greens among just a few. Oodles and oodles of flowers, pansies, morning glories, roses, and more. Lots of sherbety pastels.

All cotton. Handstitched. Medium weight cotton batting. Shown on a full size bed. Appr 86 x 103. It needs a repair but well worth the trouble, there is a tear appr 21 inches in length, see photo. It fits back together quite well on the top so a neat mend should blend well. Light fade mainly on the jadite green borders, I found three little freckle dot spots, two or three small pale dime sz spots on the front, four or five on the back, nothing I feel is bad a gentle soak or your special treatment should take care of all, no fray, no loose pieces, a small grain of rice size nick in the green between the scalloped border. Overall it appears like it wasn't used much, but had an accident with the tear, it's in nice vintage condition especially for 70 years old. It's been in storage so you may wish to freshen although I don't find it has any odors. I am being picky so there are no surprises. The backing is off-white cotton. More pics avail. just convo. It's lovely. I think once you have it in hand you will find it wonderful!

I will include a few extra flower garden fabric pieces I snatched up at an antique fair in case you need them for repair but I believe this can just be sewn/mended closed.

It's darling as you can see!
