A sharp, well-defined chromolithograph of shrikes and parrots. From Schubert's Natural History of Birds. Printed in Germany in 1886.

The birds are identified at the bottom of the plate in German and Latin.

The colours are very vivid and the parrots, in particular, look very lifelike. The paper has a wonderful patina. Blank on the back. Very slight smudging on the margins. This print is in very good condition.

This is an original, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals.

Shipped to you folded as issued, in an archival cello sleeve with sturdy backing.

Size of plate: approx. 16.25" x 12.75"
