The Stanley Steamer was the most popular steam powered automobile of all time. An automotive legend that cruised the highways, proof-positive of the virtues of good old American know-how and Yankee ingenuity.

Developed in 1898 by identical twins Francis E. and Freeland O. Stanley of Maine, the Steamer spun along in serene silence compared to its noisy gasoline-powered competitors. A Steamer broke the world’s land speed record at just over 127 mph!

This 1911 62 Runabout is captured in all its elegance and charm by the engineers at Franklin Mint. This 1:16 scale model is very detailed with side lantern, speedometer and a hood that opens to show the boiler. It is made with real wood, genuine leather upholstery, metal and plastic. The fabric top even lowers like a real car.

This model includes all the original printed materials and the original packing material.

I didn't buy this to have it sit in a box. I display my models, and yes, like a real car, there may be some dust. I try to get any dust off, but there still could be a little.
