Item details

Vintage from the 1950s

Materials

aurora borealis beads, gold tone metal

Dimensions

Length: 1 Inches; Width: 1 Inches

DESCRIPTION: These lovely earrings were made in the 1950s. They are made of clear beads (not crystal) that shine pinks and blues, depending on the light. They are crafted in a cluster style, set on gold tone metal with clip on fixings. The metal may be brass. The top beads are held in place with gold tone (brass?) pins. I tried to capture some of the light reflection in my pictures, especially in the closeup in the last photo above. The earrings will be shipped in a gift box with jeweler's cotton.

DIMENSIONS: 1 inch in diameter with the cluster 1/2 inch high

CONDITION: These earrings are in very good condition. Not every bead reflects colors as well as others, which is probably due to the earrings being 60+ years old. However, despite possible wear, these earrings are beautiful.

PROVENANCE: Obtained from a Charleston, SC estate auction

USE: These earrings are very versatile, able to coordinate with any color outfit. They can be worn to the office or for a night on the town. They'd make a lovely gift for those who love vintage jewelry or for a bride to wear on her wedding day for "something old."

SHIPPING:
-- United States: USPS First Class mail, with appropriate insurance, or USPS Priority Mail, which includes $100 insurance (please choose shipping at checkout)
-- Canada: USPS First Class International, with appropriate insurance

FAQs

I do my best to package all orders with appropriate foam, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, etc. Unfortunately, there are rare occasions when the post office delivers a damaged item.

Should your item arrive damaged, please save the item and all packaging and convo me and attach pictures of the damaged item and the packaging. This will assist me in making the insurance claim for your refund. Insurance claims are done online, but your local post office may require inspecting the damaged item and the box it came in. I will notify you once the claim is complete.
Please note that I will ship only to domestic addresses that are confirmed with the USPS via Etsy. Packages cannot be shipped to unconfirmed addresses.
