West Texas State College went on to become
Texas A & M
But back in 1938
it was only a small teacher's college.

This annual has an engaging look to it
with a deco style that is wonderfully appealing.
Study how things were different back then
with the charming snapshots of history.
Great for geneology study
or for altering pages.

As to condition
this book has loose spines
rendering some of the pages loose.

And Helen Mangum had lots of friends
who signed her book.
Back then, she was a pretty Junior from Post, Texas.
She went on to make her home in Northwest Arkansas,
marry William Fields (he's in here too)
and wrote the noted book
"Walking Backwards in the Wind"
about the Dustbowl
and life in the Great Depression.

A notable school,
a notable era
and a notable owner.
