Description

This custom torch-heated brass branding iron is made-to-order with your own text and initials. This model also features a decorative outer ring to accent your brand perfectly.

It's machined from 2" brass round stock and typeset to ensure a perfect layout of your custom text.

The rear is drilled and tapped for 1/4" 20tpi. A small flat is milled on the top side to indicate the top center of the brand. This makes it a breeze to position the brand properly in use.

This model features a 9" long steel handle with comfortable wooden grip for handheld use.


HOW TO ORDER:
Choose from the text styles provided - see the last photo for examples of each style.

FAQs

Ensure the surface you’re burning is as flat as possible. We recommend against burning varnished surfaces.

Wood scorches at around 350-400F depending on species. If using a torch to heat your iron, a dark purple hue will start to rapidly follow the flame. This indicates the iron is almost hot enough and you can begin testing.

Every iron has a personality. Iron size and specific design elements affect the temperature and press time that will produce a clean burn. We recommend doing a few test burns on scrap wood until you’re familiar with your iron.

Caring for your iron is very easy. The brass head needs nothing but an occasional brushing with a brass or nylon brush to clear charred wood. The metal portion of the handle is stainless steel and needs no specific care.

For all custom orders, you will be sent a rendering of your item as you requested. We wait for your approval before we proceed any further with your order, so timely review leads to timely fulfillment.

The rendering is a simulation output by the software used to drive the machine that creates your iron. It's the last chance to verify before material begins to be cut. It's only a simulation and may look somewhat pixellated. This is normal and any smooth lines in the artwork will create smooth lines in the iron.

Your Text
These are template-based designs. You provide the text that is placed in the template. Most of these types offer a choice of text style. This is the least expensive option as the design is fixed. It's the easiest option for customers who like one of the templates I offer.

Your Artwork
These irons are for customers who have artwork in the proper vector format. This is kind of the "experts" custom design. Usually customers work with a graphics designer to produce the artwork to be used.

Designed
These irons are as flexible as "Your Artwork" irons but I'm your graphic designer. Customers often begin with a photograph , a sketch, or a description of their vision. I take care of creating the artwork in the format my machines require.
