This is a delightful 1970s wooden jigsaw puzzle for young children.

Down on the farm there's a great "peek-a-boo" game to play - just remove one of the gates, doorways and windows and discover what's behind them... it might be some pigs, or chickens or cows - or the farmer's wife rolling out a giant suet pudding for dinner. No wonder everyone everyone looks so happy!

The puzzle is in excellent condition for its age: it is dated 1977. Its illustration (by Faithful) is typical of the high quality of the hand-sawn plywood jigsaw puzzles produced by G.J Hayter & Co - the Bournemouth-based company that started producing jigsaws in the 1920s (including the Victopry brand) and was taken over by J. W. Spear & Sons in the 1970s.

The puzzle measures 30 cm x 23 cm, and weighs approx 450 g.
