Description

Set of dyed skeleton leaves. These purple leaves are finished with copper tips.

Leaves are 2.25-4" long
Average width is 1.25"
Hand-painted.

The broad-leaf privet tree (Ligustrum lucidum), also called white wax wood, is a small evergreen member of the olive family. The beautiful glossy leaves inspired it's name "lucidum" (bright and shiny).

My experience using skeleton leaves in art and crafts has impressed on me the simple beauty of an altered leaf. My intent in offering skeleton leaves for sale is to provide quality, beautiful leaves. You will find that many skeleton leaf providers offer bulk packages of mediocre quality leaves with a few gems. I select and offer for sale the best and most beautiful leaves I can find. All of my items are carefully packaged during shipping.

Uses: These leaves are moderately durable. They will stand up to moisture in adhesives or paints, and can be flexed or bent in moderation. They are real leaves, so they will fray or break with a lot of wear. Uses include decoration in scrapbooking or cardmaking, papercrafts, papermaking, wedding favor accents, collage, ornaments, gift packaging, party table centerpieces, floral arrangements, boutineers and corsages, seasonal decor, wall art, fall decorations, teaching tools, jewelry crafts, and more.

Returns and exchange details
If the order does not arrive within the time estimated by the shipping service, they (USPS, etc) may be able to provide a shipping refund. I cannot provide insurance on lost items unless you purchase shipping insurance.

Refunds may be negotiated. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs, labels, and proper packaging. Refund will process upon receipt of return.

Shipping policies

I ship as soon as possible, but you should expect orders to take at least a day to process (i.e. get ready to be picked up by USPS).

Items will not be packed or shipped until payment has cleared. Note that with echecks this can take about a week.

I strive to make shipping as cheap and efficient as possible. In the event that shipping costs (plus a $1 material and handling cost) are lower than estimated, I will refund shipping overcharges. Just let me know you received your item, and I will verify shipping overcharge.

Priority shipping is insured by USPS.

FAQs

Most glues will "bleed" through the leaf causing a beaded frosty look. I recommend applying glue very precisely, or using a spray adhesive. Using an acid-free glue will prolong the life of your craft.
