*******************************************

This listing is for rubber stamping to be added to your notebook cover. I have various stamps available and there are different dyeing options to choose from. I use archival ink for the stamps and the designs are then covered over with leather polish with the rest of the cover to make the design permanent.

To order this item you must choose:

1) the stamp (using the dropdown menu)
2) dye method (using the dropdown menu)
3) optionally stamp colour (using the notes)

The stamp will be placed on the front of the notebook cover top middle as shown in the example photos unless otherwise asked.

Stamps can be done in black, brown or maroon. The black and brown work best if the cover is dyed and black will be used if no notes are added. Please note that the butterflies stamp is black only as it has a special large pad.

There are various stamps to choose from, please see the example photos or have a look in the link above for more finished examples.

Due to the nature of rubber stamping there may be some variation in the stamps when they are applied.

Dye options:

Please note: if you order this add on item this determines the colour of the notebook, no other colour choices can me made. The covers can't just be dyed any colour as this would, in most cases, cover over the stamp and make it illegible. For this reason you have three dye options available to you to choose:

1) no dye - the stamp will be made onto naturally coloured (russet) leather. This leather will be quite pale when you receive the cover and then over time, with exposure to sunlight, it will turn a golden brown colour. For an example of the difference please see this image http://ianatkinson.net/leather/orders/sundarken.jpg (in the image the 'new leather' side is lighter than your cover would be when new as there is no finish applied, yours would be a little darker already)

2) sponged light brown dye - the cover will be dyed light brown using my usual method, this still makes the cover fairly dark so the leather colour and the stamp colour will be more subtly contrasted

3) airbrushed light brown dye - the cover will by dyed light brown using an airbrush, this lets me control the dye so light brown really does end up light brown and the stamp will be more visible. This option costs more as it's time consuming to set up and then clean the airbrush equipment. The example photo showing the butterflies was done using this method to give you an idea of the result.
