How to Fit a Martingale Collar (for all breeds)

To measure your dog for a Martingale Collar, use a soft tape measure and measure three points (included graphics in the listing photos)
1) around the widest part of the head
2) behind the ears
3) around the neck (where the collar will sit).
Choose the size collar that will fit all three points. For example,
1) if your dog has a 14 inch neck and a 12 inch head select a size small (adjustable from 10-14")
2) if your dog has a 17 inch neck and a 15 inch head select a size medium (adjustable from 13-17")
3) if your dog has a 20 inch neck and an 18 inch head select a size large (adjustable from 16-20")
4) if your dog has a 22 inch neck and a 20 inch head select a size XL1 (adjustable from 18-22")
5) if your dog has a 24 inch neck and a 22 inch head select a size XL2 (adjustable from 20-24")
6) if your dog has a 26 inch neck and a 24 inch head select a size XL3 (adjustable from 22-26")
7) if your dog has a 28 inch neck and a 26 inch head select a size XL4 (adjustable from 24-28")

As a martingale collar is a slip-on collar, you should select a size that is at least 2 inches larger than the widest head measurement, to slide the collar on and off comfortably, while allowing for a comfortable fit around the neck.

To measure your dog for a Non-Martingale Buckle Collar, use a soft tape measure and measure where the collar will sit when leash walking. Allow 2 fingers space between the tape measure and the neck to allow for a comfortable fit/wiggle room.

Please note that as all of my items are handmade to order, while I do not offer refunds, I can exchange your collar if you select an incorrect size or width provided the collar is in brand new condition. As I will have to remake your collar from start to finish, the fee to remake your order would be $10 plus shipping. This fee covers a minimal percentage of my time to remake your collar and you will not be charged for materials. NOTE: All exchanges must have an exchange authorization provided by me before sending back your item. Once an exchange has been authorized it must be returned within 14 days of receipt (order delivery).

Collar Construction
The top layer is made with high quality 100% cotton fabric. The interior or middle layer of the collar is reinforced with medium weight webbing that is strong up to 600 lbs but is supple enough to move with your dog's neck and the inside layer is soft and silky satin. Hardware is premium welded d-rings and high quality solid cast nickel round triglides and premium plastic side release clip for non martingale buckle collars. Each seam that holds the hardware is triple stitched for durability as well as safety.
