Description

Fine Art Print | Unique Monoprint
Banksy Was Not Here
Image size 10 x 10 inches | Paper size approximately 12 x 12
Monoprint, variable edition of 5
$350 with mat, $315 without mat

This is a transfer print, a unique monoprint created from my own photography and digital collage, hand-burnished and transferred through a gel alcohol process to a sheet of rag watercolor paper. The irregular edges are a part of the process and echo the shape of a lithographic stone. The surface of a transfer print is granular and unpredictable. Each print is unique, with different surface qualities (see details in 3rd and 4th image above.) "Banksy Was Not Here" is part of a series based on industry, urban textures, and the beauty that can be found in infrastructure. This particular print is a collage based on the Alaska Way viaduct and the layers of graffiti and urban grime that tell a story on the walls beneath it.

This series of square transfer prints comes with a mat and backing suitable for framing in a 16" x 16" frame or smaller. The rough edge of this print is intended to be shown when matted, the other four prints in this series have a crisp edge. The print is signed on the back in light pencil. These prints look best in a metallic or white frame. Shipped flat with sturdy cardboard backing.

The print comes with a certificate of authenticity verifying the edition number and size.

*Prints are sold unframed. Due to the difference in monitor settings on various devices I cannot guarantee that the color match of what you receive will be exact compared to what the listing shows.

This is a beautiful magical piece! There is almost a silvery shimmer to some of the greys. The print arrived very quickly and in perfect shape. I took it in to be framed today and can't wait to hang it in my home.

Absolutely love Iskra's art, the little print I've purchased for my client office gets a lot of attention, the composition, the colors. Beautiful. Will buy again.

"November, Heron" is the second print I've purchased from Iskra's shop. I loved "Anenome in Spring" so much that I decided I needed another. Both shipments arrived in pristine condition and on the promised date. I've framed them and everyone that visits my home loves them both. Iskra is easy to order from and her prints are a delight. I highly recommend this seller!
