Gold is for the mistress -- silver for the maid --
Copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade."
"Good!" said the Baron, sitting in his hall,
"But Iron -- Cold Iron -- is master of them all."

Trichinopoly chain, also known as Viking Knit chain, first appeared in Scandinavia in the 9th century. It was used for bracelets, necklaces and even for the trim of clothing and other decorative items.

I made this bracelet from black iron wire and sterling silver plated components and added red glass beads for color. I used a triple knit technique. It is about 8 3/4 inches long and 3/16 inch thick.
