I like the pattern, however I have two complaints. Number one issue was with the adult size hat you cast on 50 stitches, and in the instructions it says knit 1 purl 1 every row, with 50 stitches that actually creates a single rib which is not what is used. That brings me to the second problem, the stitch you are using, which is pictured is actually called a "seed" stitch, that is not what she called it and it is worked in multiples of 2, for the teen size you would used knit 1 purl 1 every row because you cast on 45. As you can imagine that created some confusion. Once I realized all this and corrected it, I was able to knit up the hat no problem and it turned out just as pictured and I like it, so I now am on my third one because my fiance and son also wanted one. I would have preferred the teen size for me.
