The fashion illustrations of Gazette du Bon Ton, a magazine published from 1912 - 1925, sought to bridge fashion and art. Dedicated to Parisian high society each magazine contained 10 pochoir illustrations by the most famous Art Deco artists and illustrators. The models were placed in rich dramatic surroundings to add a narrative to the clothing.

Pochoir, the French word for stencil, is a technique used in printing. It is a process in which stencils are used for each color. This process was most widely used during the late 19th century up through the 1930’s. It’s popularity being centered in Paris by illustrators and designers because of it’s ability to produce crisp lines and brilliant colors favored by illustrators and designers.

Measuring 7.5 x 9.75 inches on soft white paper with limited slim binding marks. There is slight age toning on the edges. This print would be a fantastic addition to any dressing room, bedroom or as a gift.
