Description

Your beard, (or your man’s beard) should look shiny and well groomed. Don’t let your beard look ‘meh’ with flakes of dry skin mingled in! Using beard oil will keep your beard looking it’s best and you feeling your best! Most men develop a “beard itch” after growing their beard for about a month. Many push through, others get frustrated and shave it off. There is no need to compromise! Here’s what’s going on. At the root of every one of your beard follicles, you have a pair of glands called sebaceous glands. These glands are key to making sure that your beard stays well nourished. The sebaceous glands create oil called sebum oil. As your beard follicle gets longer, naturally it requires more and more sebum oil to coat the follicle while also keeping your skin nourished and moisturized. No matter the length of your beard, your sebaceous glands stay the same size. Given that, sebum oil production can’t effectively keep up with the demand of your beard follicle. Therefore when your beard gets to a certain length (every man is different but typically after a few weeks of growth), your sebum oil simply isn’t enough, your skin dries out and your skin becomes itchy. And that’s where beard oil comes in. Using a dime size amount (depending on the length of beard) you can moisturize your skin and beard hair to keep your beard looking it’s best.
To apply beard oil, put about a dime sized amount into the palm of your hand and rub it in from the base and work all the way to the ends. Once applied, you will want to use a beard comb or brush for grooming. That’s all there is to keep your beard looking awesome!
My beard oil contains the following oils:
Apricot Oil ~ has oleic acid, which is an omega-9 fatty acid and a wonderful emollient that makes hair and skin softer and more pliable, moisturizes the hair and skin while increasing the hydration level and reducing dryness. Linoleic acid benefits hair by stimulating hair growth while staving off moisture loss. Seals in the moisture and also absorbs small amounts of water from the air’s humidity to help maintain that barrier of hydration inside the strand of hair.

Ingredients:
Apricot seed oil leaves beards soft, shiny, and keeps the strands well-nourished and moisturized.
Jojoba Oil ~ What makes jojoba (hoh-hoh-buh) such an awesome oil is its close resemblance to the skin’s natural oil. Jojoba will give your beard hair a soft and smooth feeling. It absorbs into the hair and skin very well and is excellent for men with dry or damaged looking beard hair.
Vitamin E ~ Vitamin E is both a nutrient and antioxidant that promotes collagen and elastin production. Vitamin E stimulates hair growth while repairing split ends.
Fragrance ~ Lightly scented with a Cedar and Sage Essential Oil and Fragrance Blend.
Does not contain parabens or phthalates.
