This is a very cool vintage vinyl train case in a tangerine color. The case itself is unbranded but was created with a patent approved in 1961 which was assigned by Keene Packaging Company. It's not clear if Keene or some other company manufactured the case but according to the on line patent cite, the patent concerns a method and apparatus for fabricating a plastic container.
This is a small to medium sized case constructed almost entirely of vinyl. The exceptions to vinyl construction are the silver tone, handle anchors, protective feet and zipper closure. The outside of the case is 13" long by 7.5" wide x 6" high. It has a vinyl handle. There is a vinyl slip pocket on the interior under the lid. [ See photos 2 and upper left in photo 5 collage where white stripe under lid is shown. The white stripe is the opening for the slip pocket. The sides of the base of the case inside are 4.5 inches high.
Length: 13 inches
Height: 6 inches
Width: 7.5 inches
This case is in very good condition. There are no rips, tears or holes. There are no scratches or scuffs probably because it is constructed of vinyl. However, there is a slight bend in the case that causes the front to look a little wrinkled. Please see photos for best depiction of the condition of this case.
