Description

This recording was during an actual performance by Moms mabley in December, 1960, in the Uptown theater in Philadelphia. I am a fan but have lost touch. This album brought back so much in the way of life then and life now.

I was nine but I was allowed to watch what I wished to watch, and listen what I wished. I wasn't old enough at nine in 1960 handle that kind of power but I did my best. Moms mabley has a light and fire all of her own. For those who haven't heard her you are in for a treat.

Moms Mabley was a trailblazing African-American 20th century comedian known for warm yet raunchy stand-up routines and hit albums.
