Print of "Flower in Slag" by Joshua Moore
Materials: paper, oil paints, paint, brush, canvas
Width: 12 inches
Height: 9 inches
This is a giclée print of my painting titled, "Flower in Slag." This is from "The Copper Ghosts Collection" that honors Michigan copper miners. Long before the gold rush there was the Michigan copper rush. With the depiction of mountain landscapes, portraits of miners, and scenes from their lives, I’ve tried to tell the story of what it meant to be a miner in Michigan, the more intimate struggle that may be hard to get from a history book.
This painting depicts a flower growing in a pile of rocks.
Art can be very powerful. With my work, I try to paint the beauty in humanity. I am dedicated to creating art for the sake of the people, art that tells a story and honors the good things in humanity.
The print is 12 inches wide by 9 inches tall, printed on paper, and hand signed by the artist.
