Kernewek Pottery was made at Goonhavern near Perranporth in Cornwall ("Kernewek" is a variety of Cornish language), and the company ceased production (we think) towards the end of the last century.

Many of its largely decorative and kitchenware products were made with a distinctive brown "drip" pattern and the partial honeycomb-style glaze that is featured on the top half of this jug.

The jug - a handsome piece - is in excellent condition for its age, with no chips or cracks or crazing. It measures approx. 15 cm in width x 13 cm in height. It weighs 390 g.
