“As Big as a Mountain” – Screen print of the Troll. He walks the mountains by moonlight and is so big he can rip a tree from its roots and use it as a club!

This image is part of a series of illustrations inspired by “Phantoms and Fairies from Norwegian Folklore” by Tor Age Bringsvaerd. While reading the stories, I kept wondering how they would look if I drew from the descriptions. The Troll came first and the others quickly followed. I am interested both in illustrating and folklore. There are plenty of tales to work from and I plan to continue artwork based on folktales.

This handmade screen print on Rives BFK paper has archival custom cut white museum mat with 12” x 17” opening and backing board. It will fit an 18” x 24” frame. (I do not include frames to keep shipping costs down) It is signed and numbered #5 of an edition of 8.

This was in an exhibit at Café Allegro in Western Oregon University during March thru May 2010. It was also in a juried show Oregon Art Annual at the 2010 Oregon State Fair.

Any visible text is digital watermark and for online protection. It is not on actual artwork.
Item will be shipped within 3-5 days of receipt of order.
