Description

This Denby-Langley 6-piece condiment set consists of a pair of ceramic oil and vinegar cruets with wood and cork stoppers, a wood pepper mill and salt shaker, a wood jar with a lid and a blue glass liner plus a stainless steel mini spoon. All six of the pieces sit on a round wood tray with handles.

From my research in Replacements, Ltd, I believe that this green and brown ceramic design is Denby-Langley's "sherwood" pattern that they produced between 1970 and 1981. The cruets are marked on the bottom with the Denby-Langley logo and "Made in England." The pepper mill is marked "Galatix, Made in England." The hard rubber stopper of the salt shaker is marked "SUBA SEAL No.53, Pat.No. 469982."

DIMENSIONS & DETAILS

Ceramic oil and vinegar cruets: 4-1/2 inches tall, bottom diameter 2-1/2 inches
Wood and cork stoppers: 2 inches tall (they add almost 1-1/2 inches to the height of the cruets)
Wood pepper grinder: 4-1/2 inches tall
Wood salt shaker with hard rubber stopper: 4-1/2 inches tall
Wood jar with a lid and blue glass liner: 3 inches tall
Stainless steel mini spoon: 2-1/2 inches long
Round wood tray with handles: 9 inches across

These pieces are in very good vintage condition. The wood has wonderful rich deep color, a pronounced grain, and a great patina. It would benefit from a light cleaning and a good rubbing of oil. The pepper mill works well and the holes of the salt shaker appear to be open. There is a chip on the bottom rim of the vinegar cruet. The salt shaker has a chip on the bottom ring and a smaller one a couple of rings above. The cork of one stopper has deteriorated a bit, but I believe it will still function as intended. We tried to reveal these details in the last photo. Please contact us if you need more photos.

Purchases can be made by credit card, debit card, Etsy gift card or Paypal.

I am happy to reserve an item for a potential buyer for 24 hours. If payment is not received during that period, I will remove the reserve without further notice.

Returns & exchanges

Because all of the items in my Etsy shop are vintage (used and one-of-a-kind), I am unable to offer exchanges. If the item is damaged during shipping, the buyer must take this up with the shipper (USPS, etc.)

I will accept a return for refund if the item is returned within 14 days of receipt (tracking is required on returns). A refund will be given for the original purchase price and shipping when I receive the return package of the item in its original condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Shipping policies

Shipping is ONLY to USA residents.

Items are usually shipped on the day purchased, or the next day. Occasionally circumstances may make it necessary to take longer than that. If there is any delay beyond the third day, I will contact you.

I use the U.S. Postal Service for ALL shipping, so all shipping rates are based on the estimated cost for the least expensive shipping method: USPS First Class, Priority Mail, or Standard Post. I invite you to provide your zip code to me prior to making your purchase so that I can charge you only what the USPS is charging me to send your package.

Shipping by UPS or FedEx is by special arrangement only when USPS shipping is not available. UPS and FedEx shipping usually requires extra postage fees. You must email me prior to making your purchase to make any special shipping arrangements, including special rates for shipping multiple items, shipping through UPS and FedEx, etc.

When I pack items for shipping I use recycled boxes and packing materials as much as I possibly can. If you have an objection to styrofoam or any other specific type of packing materials, please tell me when you purchase the item.

Additional policies

All vintage items will most likely have some sort of wear. This is normal and should be expected. We do our best to provide accurate, clear pictures of the items, and we encourage you to inspect them thoroughly prior to making your purchase. We recommend that you use the zoom feature that Etsy provides to assist you. We will gladly take more photos and provide them to you upon request. We inspect each item as completely and carefully as we can, and we mention as many flaws beyond normal wear as we have found.

Thank you so much for visiting and "favoriting" my Etsy store. It is my only store; I do not sell my vintage items through any other venue. I am always happy to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, or special requests you may have.
