SUPERNATURAL
Dean Winchester’s necklace replica

Dean’s amulet necklace is a well recognised prop from the great show “Supernatural”. Given to him by his brother Sam when they were kids, it was first said to be a protection amulet. Later in the show, it is stated that the amulet lights up when God is close by. While the eppearence of the amulet stayed the same, the way it was worn changed twice during the seasons. At first it was worn unaltered, later on a rind was attached (possibly to make sure it was always facing forward) and in the end the loop was cut off (or broke off) and soldered back on 90 degrees turned.

It was always believed by many fans, that the pendant Dean wears was a found item, but it turned out to be a very rare item, nearly impossible to track down. While there are many fanmade replicas available, ranging from ‘not even close’ to ‘almost perfect’, never before were copies available of the very same pendant as seen in the show.

It took me 5 years and a 1 in a million chance, but i recently struck gold when i found not 1, but 14 of these genuine vintage amulets. The person i bought them from told me they are believed to be of Indian origin and were manufactured around the 1940’s (which explains their rarity). India, as some may know, is a country where a lot of brass casting is and has been done. Each of the amulets i received were slightly different in detail (which is common in “Dhokra” casting, lost wax casting method as done in India).

I picked the best and closest looking one, fixed the loop and made a mold which allowed me to make pewter copies. These copies were tumbled with steelshot and then brass and goldplated to give them a yellow brass appearence. They come on a real leather cord which can be adjusted in length.

This is it, people, this is the closest, most accurate Dean WinchesterAmulet you can get besides owning the screenused original or a copy of it.
