Description

Yemanja Ceramic Vase -

Are you looking for an unique and one-of-a-kind handmade gift to someone special or to yourself? Everyone agrees that "A handmade gift is so much more personal and it conveys the thoughtfulness behind it"

Yemanja is the queen of the sea in Brazil. She looks after the sea life, fishermen and boats. Brazilians throw flowers (that's why she is holding a little vase) and other offerings into the sea for the goddess in the hopes that she will grant them their requests for the coming year. Some send their gifts to lemanjá in wooden toy boats. Yemanja also teaches us that we should look ourselves in the mirror and love ourselves for who we are. That's why she is holding a mirror!

White slip casted by my lovely team, I hand paint the whole vase with deep ocean blue colour with three coats of underglaze paint and hand carved all around the vase to represent Yemanja long hair, waves of the ocean and the mermaid tale. On the back of the Yemanja vase, she is holding a mirror as she teaches us that we should look in the mirror and love ourselves for who we are.

Yemanja is holding a little vase to represent the flowers that she receives as a gift. Place your favourite little flower that you pick from your garden!

After the bisque firing, I glaze inside and outside of the vase with a non toxic, food-safe clear glaze. After the glaze firing, I then decorate with bright blue flowers ceramic decals creating an UNIQUE design. Lastly the vase is fired for the third time at lower temperature to provide strength and durability.

In the back of the vase, I hand painted the words 'Yemanja the queen of the sea. You blush like the ocean in love. Wild with blueness'

>>>>>>> Please note due to the hand-painted nature of this piece and usage of vintage transfers, no two are alike and the product images are as a reference only. All of my pieces have three small marks on the base from kiln props (where I place the stilt). This is the highlight of buying something handmade and unique!

>>>>>>>> All of my ceramics are handmade in my colourful studio on the Gold Coast, Australia. This unique ceramic vase is hand painted and have transfers designed by me or bought around the world. It is part of the collection 'Life Is'.

This tall vase is a great gift for anyone who loves an one of a kind piece and at the same time loves adding an unique piece of decoration at home with a story. It is an unique gift for:

- Weddings - I can personalize the moringa by hand painting the wedding date
- Engagement
- Mother's Day
- Valentine's Day
- Christmas
- Any occasion that you need something unique and special

The vase measures approx 20cm (8" inch) high and is approximately 8cm (3" inch) across the wildest part of the vase.

* Please note that this item is made-to-order. Your order can take about 2-3 weeks to make and I will always update you on the progress of your piece.

* Hand wash only

This vase is packed very tight in a box with partitions and pads so it can travel safely to you.
