Pastoral Landscape Folk Art Print, The Gentleman Farmer, a print by Donna Atkins
The original design was painted on rustic planked wood, then crackled and distressed.
The New England area was the inspiration for this piece. There are still stately colonials adorning the countryside, however I've taken the liberty of taking you back to simpler times.
You can lead a horse to water, but can you make him drink? The gentleman farmer, leading his black stallion, will soon find out. As he surveys his property on a fine summer's day, swans glide through the water, sheep graze on the hilliside, and a steer seeks shade under a tree in this New England landscape. An old red colonial house sits atop the hill, offering beautiful views of the countryside.
THE GENTLEMAN FARMER, a 12"x16" unframed print.
