Description

This is a western saddle pad, cross-stitched in a black and red Greek key type design on 18-count Adia cloth.

It is a cutback design and is just over 3-1/2 inches long by 3-1/4 inches wide. This pad should fit most Traditional (1/9) scale Breyer, Stone, or resin horses.

It has a white felt backing, with a recessed, stitched tag that says: "HORSETENDER", in black with a tiny stitched "cherry blossom" and the number 07. This is the 7th pad in my Stitched in Japan series.

This was created by me: Bobbie Allen, of Horse Tender Studio.

------------------------------------

I have been stitching these saddle pads, made from my own patterns, for several years now. I enjoy creating my own patterns and then stitching the actual saddle pad. Some patterns are based on the designs from real saddle pads, others are completely made up designs. It takes, at bare minimum, 10-12 hours for me to stitch a basic 14-ct pad, and many more hours for an 18-ct pad - but those sure look nice!

I only know of one of my saddle pads being shown so far and it has been part of a beautiful performance entry that has won several championships. It has been fun to see one of my little creations out in the show world and I'd love to see more of them there!
