Learn how to embroider with this handmade DIY kit, which was designed thinking of those trying the first embroidery stitches and needing all the needlework supplies.

This embroidery kit will be an original sister gift, a great anniversary gift for a child or a special gift for your crafter best friend… Great for a grown-up or a child 8 or older.

Our hand embroidery kits are inspired by needlecraft traditions from Portugal and are treasured in "taleigos": patchwork drawstring bags made with Portuguese traditional fabrics. Instead, for the same supplies, you can choose a simpler and more affordable (but still adorable) card stock packaging. The second and third photos show you both options.

What will you find inside the taleigo or the card-stock pack:
- needle;
- embroidery hoop;
- 100% cotton plain fabric from Portugal hand stamped with a paisley pattern (16cm x 16cm);
- 100% cotton floss from Portugal ;
- "stitch by stitch embroidery" instructions in both Portuguese and/or English that will teach you the basic embroidery stitches;

Note that all our taleigos are unique. You will not receive a drawstring bag exactly like the ones in the photos. The floss may be different from the photos, too. This is very important, for more information on that, feel free to contact me.
