Native American Inspired Neck Knife in Decorated Brain Tanned Sheath

Description

For your consideration is this Native American inspired neck knife and sheath.
The knife is 7" overall length and has a big bellied 3 1/2" blade with a slight drop point. Blade has been made from a repurposed, antique cross cut saw The handle was hand made from local cherry burl and has a poured pewter ferrule. We only use indigenous woods to keep with using traditional materials.
The sheath started with a vegetable tanned, black walnut stained, liner that was covered with hand made brain tanned deer hide, you can still see the scrape marks. There is a repair across the bottom from processing which I worked around, for a better, use what you have look. This sheath is hung with old red roller beads and bone beads that were then antiqued so they look dirty. Red deer fur, tin cone drops and a hand beaded drop finish the look. The neck lace is hand twisted cordage of the same hide. The lace is about 28" long and ties behind the neck so it can be adjusted. Sheath is completely hand sewn with linen cord.
The whole outfit (knife in sheath) is about 14" long. I am 5'2" and it hangs above my waist.
Get addition to your mountain man or Native outfit if you are a re enactor or just a good carry for hunting/ fishing or hiking.

FAQs

All items are OOAK and custom orders to duplicate items that are already sold might be close to original but never exactly the same. I use a lot of hides but in each hide color varies. All hides and other components are different because these things are made by Mother Nature, not me.
