ITEM DESCRIPTION: Wire Wrapped Bangles with Lava Stones

Stackable 8-inch hand-made, wire-wrapped bangles with gemstone beads and black lava stone beads for essential oils. The wire is 20-gauge pure copper. You may choose one of these bracelets or the stack of three. Each bracelet is 2.75 inches in diameter.

- The gemstone in the first bracelet with white marbled stones is Howlite. The lava stone beads are 6mm.
- The gemstone in the second bracelet is Tiger Eye. The lava stone beads are 6mm.
- The gemstone in the third bracelet is Labradorite. The lava stone beads are 8mm.

Howlite is a borate mineral, which occurs in Canada and parts of the USA. Howlite has the appearance of white marble or porcelain with a sub-vitreous luster. It is opaque and white or grey with grey, black or dark brown veins running through it. Gemstone quality howlite can be interspersed by the darker matrix (which appears as the veins), or it can be matrix-free and pure white. Howlite is best known for imitating other gemstones. Due to its porous nature, howlite can absorb dye well, which means it can be colored to resemble turquoise, red coral, or lapis lazuli.

Tiger Eye is a member of the quartz group. Tiger eye - or tiger’s eye stone is actually a type of blue asbestos and silica that is naturally found in quartz. This gemstone is usually cut out of metamorphic rock and has a silky luster. It is usually found to have colors of red-brown to gold; if the gemstone has not completely silicified, it makes a rarer blue color, called Hawk’s eye.

Labradorite is the plagioclase gemstone with a spectacular iridescent play of color known as labradorescence.

Lava Rock: Natural lava rock beads include naturally formed voids and irregular surfaces, making each bead unique. Lava beads are made from volcanic rocks and are very light weight and porous. Each bead has a unique amount of holes on its surface and the texture of the bead is very soft. Lava rock in its most natural state is usually black, brown, gray or red. But it can be dyed for variations in colors for design purposes. It absorbs essential oils and naturally allows them to diffuse over a short time - usually a day or so.
