Mid century modern, 'Fire King' 448 marked and 'Georges Briard' signed lidded glass 2 quart casserole dish and metal warming stand.

The clear glass, 2 quart, lidded casserole has double handles and platinum banding as well as floral designs. The outside design is a metallic floral design, the inside of the lid's floral design is a vibrant yellow/orange.

The warming stand is a goldtone metal with a coppery colored, uneven finish and teak wood handles.

Mr. Briard was an immigrant from the Ukraine. His real name was Jascha Brojdo. In 1947 after serving as an interpreter during the war he studied art & started designing art work on dishes and glassware and signing it Georges Briard. He received a life time achievement award in 2004 and passed away in 2005 at the age of 88. His creations were wildly popular after the war. Georges Briard was sold in high-end department stores, like Neman Marcus.

Dimensions (roughly):
Warming stand: 12" long x 4" tall
Casserole dish: 10" long w/ handles, 8" wide, 3" deep & 4" w/ lid on

Condition:
Pre-owned, but in good condition (please look closely at photos)
No chips, cracks or scratches
Some fading on the coloring of the lid and the band around the dish
