This zine chronicles my three-week artist residency at The Rensing Center in rural Pickens, South Carolina in September 2016. It was a magical time for me and I wanted to reflect on all the ways it was special.
Through vignettes, poems, and illustrations, this zine talks about exploring a new place and environment, discovering the ways that creativity shows up in life, having seasons of rest and productivity, and connecting with creatives, community, and new friends. And goats! Can't forget the goats.
24 pages of hand-lettered text and black and white illustrations with a cardstock cover. The color of your cover will vary depending on what I have available. This book is digest-sized, measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2."

Poems, dreams, artwork, and sublime encounters inspired by the natural world during an artist residency. Magical and inspiring. It makes me wish there were more sanctuaries like this for artists. Sadly, the center is closing this June, but it will always come to life again within the pages of this endearing diary.

I have a lot of zines from this store, but this one is my favorite! It reminds me of happy times on woodland retreats, which I've been missing.
