This is a very unusual and quirky celluloid Art Deco shoe clip; the faux tortoiseshell bow,is overlaid with a painted plaid pattern in gold, red, blue and green.

It measures approx 2.1/8th ins (5.2mm wide) and the knot part of the bow is 1/2ins deep (13mm deep) It is slightly curved to fit a shoe vamp and fastens with two metal claws that just press down to secure it.

It is in good vintage condition for its age considering the use it was put to. There are a few very slight areas of rubbing, not easy to show as they are very minimal.I mention them for completeness as they do not affect the overall appearance of this unusual clip.
I have shown this in photo 5.It actually measures 1mm.It was quite difficult to photograph this item to it's best advantage and what look like faults or damage are really highlights in photos 1-4.

It would make a stunning addition to your collection or possibly reused on a piece of jewellery, hair accessory or clothing. It comes from a non-smoking, pet free environment. Prices are for UK second class and non tracked airmail. At this shipping price you could include two more smaller items and get free secondary shipping.
