Small Brown Tone Tumbling Block Lazy Susan
Vintage from the 1990s
The Small Brown Tone “Tumbling Block” Lazy Susan is based on the “Tumbling Block” quilt pattern. It measures 12” across (13 ½” tip to tip) and 2” high. There are 312 pieces on the overlay. The pieces are cut and glued in place, one piece at a time. The pattern covers the top and extends over the edge uninterrupted, to within ¼” of the table top it sits on. The stationary base is hidden on the inside, behind the edge.
The pattern has the illusion of a lot of blocks but there are as many stars as there are blocks. The design forces you to see the blocks. On each diamond, if you go to the side you are in the middle of a block. At each point you are in the middle of a star that has 6 points.
This lazy susan is made from “Hackberry, Oak, and Walnut, all native to Missouri.
This lazy susan is #64 and was made in 1999. On the bottom, I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. After the date the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on a foot powered table saw.
The 3 pictures are of the same lazy susan, just from 3 different angles, each one looks different. The steel ball bearings let it rotate at a touch of a finger.

I am in love with my beautiful piece from Robin Tucker! I can not stop looking at it and have had many comments already and I've only had it in my possession for 2 days. Proud to have a small piece of Missouri crafted by the artisan hands of Robin in my home in Australia.
I LOVE IT!! This box is absolutely beautiful! I loved it in the picture but honestly the picture just isn't even close to how beautifully crafted it is. The different woods blend so well, its hard to believe they are all pieces of different trees. The differing colors compliment each other incredibly well and I can already see that over time the colors will only become more rich.
Stunningly beautiful! A true thing of beauty. I love them so much! Highly recommend this gifted mans work. Even more amazing in person than the photos of the item you see. Hand made with meticulous care. I'll be going back for more. :D
