tussah silk and linen yarn, mulberry silk and linen yarn, bamboo yarn, mulberry silk and seacell yarn, mulberry silk and bamboo yarn, cobweb lace fingering sport dk, procion mx dyes

Inspired by a photograph of light glowing through a limestone shawl formation in the Australian Buchan Caves - rippling, fluted rock formed over centuries by gentle trickling water. Think rose mist, soft lilac, creamy tuscan tan, dusty peach, and warm gull gray. Gorgeous and dreamy.

::How should I care for my yarn?::
Hand washing is recommended. The dyes I use are low-impact Procion MX fiber reactive dyes in a cold water process, randomly distributing color, sometimes in multiple baths to produce a glazed and layered effect. There is no regular striping or predictable pooling. In the silk blend yarns, both the silk and plant fibers take up the color. You may have a slight coloring of water in the first bath, but the color of your yarn will not change.

Colors strike and move differently on different fibers. In addition, color movement and flow will vary from base to base and lot to lot and skein to skein. If your garment requires more than a single skein, consider alternating between skeins.

And, thank you for visiting!
