The Pawtuxet River crested at 21 feet. Normal flood levels are 9 feet. The good people of Rhode Island had not seen floods like this in over 100 years. These were angry, loud waters. The Pawtuxet Cove is where the Pawtuxet River empties into the larger Providence River, into the bay then into the ocean. Not only did I take these photos for their historic value, but for the scary beauty of Mother Nature in a rage!
