A trim and elegant design, this 1948 vintage pattern from McCall features a skirt of four narrow gores, with a small slit at the center front, and topstitching along the front seam. The skirt is fitted to the waist with darts in front and back, and has a side zipper.

With only three pattern pieces (front, back, and waistband), it would be super quick to lay out and cut, and there's nothing fussy in the construction, either!

Waist 26"
Hip 35"
Finished width at hem, about 54"

The pattern is complete and the pieces are in good shape and neatly pinked. The envelope has numerous small edge tears, and a 2" tear at the lower right corner.

McCall 7243, late 1940s narrow A-line skirt
